It allows you to play games installed on the internal hard disk of the PS3 DEX 4.21
(not tested with BDemu)

FAST TUTO

1 - on your PC use Repkgdex+ to repack Game update / patch (cex to dex)
2 - copy the new pkg file on USB pendrive
3 - install it on PS3 (via USB)
4 - copy to hdd your ps3 Game in your created folder (HDD0/GAME/BLESXXXX) without replacing EBOOT.BIN & PARAM SFO
5 - Go to XMB and launch the game

Tested games :
- PES 2013 = TEST OK
- SNIPER ELITE = TEST OK
- RELOAD 007 = OK

I'm a little programmer... a noob ... there are still bugs to fix
thank you to report me if there are errors
I hope i was clear with my explanation for the use

[Guide] How to properly convert Final Fantasy XII: IZJS For ps2classics

$
0
0
-=UPDATED=- Fixed The guide a bit.

I've seen alot of people wondering how to get this working, and it was rather confusing for me as well. So, i decided to write up a guide on how to get this specific game working with ps2classics placeholder.

What You'll Need:
NTSC-US ISO for FFXII
NTSC-J ISO for FFXII:IZJS
LIMG - http://pl.rghost.net/44887047
HxD - http://mh-nexus.de/en/hxd/
ImgBurn - http://www.imgburn.com/
FFXII:IZJS English Patch V.22 - http://www.ff12.pl/ff12-media.html (second link)
Windows Calculator
Notepad++ - http://notepad-plus-plus.org/

1)First and foremost, you will need to patch your ISO of IZJS for the English patch. I'm not going to write out a guide for it, since it's included with the FAQ for the patch.

2) Open your patched copy of IZJSeng with ImgBurn. Note the number of Sectors on the disc.

3)Convert the number of sectors from the disc from Decimal to Hex (View -> Programmer in windows calculator) Note the number given.

4) Open LIMG using HxD.

5) on the VERY FIRST LINE replace the numbers 20 30 B0 with the numbers you noted from windows calculator.

6) open IZJSeng with HxD.

7) Press CTRL+A to select everything in the LIMG file in HxD, The Press CTRL+C to copy it. [DO NOT CLOSE]

8) At the VERY END of IZJSeng in HxD, right click and select "Paste Insert". This should put the LIMG at the very end IZJSeng.

9) Save IZJSeng. [DO NOT CLOSE]

10) IN windows explorer, right click your ISO of IZJSeng -> Properties.

Now this is where things can get a little confusing.

The file size (not on disk file size) needs to be divisible by 16384. You will know it is if in Standard view of calculator you do not have a decimal place. if you do, make note of the number in the decimal place. Yours most likely will not be, so we'll need to add some padding. If for some reason it is, skip the next step.

11) BEFORE the LIMG, you will need to add lines of 00's. every line you add will add 16 bytes to the file size. to know how many lines you need to add, multiply 16384 by the number from your decimal place, then divide that umber by 16 (View MUST BE SET TO STANDARD). for example, i had .5. so, 16384 x .5 = 8192/16 = 512 Lines.

12) Open notepad++. Assuming you also had 512, paste in 512 lines of the following:
00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00
[Note that Notepad++ tells you what line you are on in the left column]

13) Copy the lines you just made, and paste them into a NEW file in HxD. All the lines you should as 00's with "......." after them. if this is what your file looks like, you have done things properly, and may continue, if not, go back and try again.

14) IN HxD in IZJSeng, press CTRL+F to search the document, change datatype to "Hex-Values" and set the search type to all. paste in the FIRST line from your edited LIMG, and it should bring you directly to the first line of where you pasted in the LIMG.

15) on the line DIRECTLY ABOVE that one, at the VERY END, right click and paste insert. This should paste your lines of zeros, which should appear just as it did in the new file. if after the zeros you see anything other than "......." or anything got mixed in with the zeros, try again. Save IZJSeng again.

16) once again, check the file size of IZJSeng. my final file size was 4,182,409,216. If yours differs, check to see if the file size is divisible by 16384. [Step 11]. If it is not, go back to [Step 12]

17) Assuming all went according to plan your file should now be ready to convert. Open the ps2classics GUI, open IZJSeng, and click the encrypt tab, then click ENCRYPT. if it asks to add padding, your file is not the proper size. [refer to step 11]. if it is, the GUI will likely ask to add the LIMG. CLICK NO.

Following this, everything should go according to plan, and the newly created ISO.ENC should be ready for play using your ps2classics placeholder. 2 Firmwares are confirmed to work with this game: Rogero 4.30 v2.05 which i used, and Rebug 4.30.2 which szczuru used. There are known minor sound issues with both firmwares.

Major thanks in part to szczuru for helping me to get a copy of this game working.

Enjoy.

How to run multiple PS2 Classics from the XMB (Different Method)

How to run multiple PS2 Classics from the XMB. With this method you will have to use reActPSN just once to activate the PS2 Classics Placeholder. Then you can make as many PS2 Classics as you want without having to run reActPSN again.

Here is a video of my PS2 Classics on PS3 XMB
Multiple PS2 Classics on PS3 XMB - YouTube

[Edit]
You don't need to install the PS2 Classics Placeholder if running games from the XMB. So skip steps 3 and 6.
Thanks to @Logi for the information.

1 - Download the file below and extract it.
Code:

http://www.4shared.com/rar/vYuv2v1N/PS2_Classic_Files.html
2 - Copy the rap file in the "exdata" folder to the "exdata" folder in your USB drive.

3 - Copy "[PS2U10000]_PS2_Classics_Placeholder_R3.pkg" to the root of your USB drive.

4 - If you don't have reActPsn installed then copy the "reActPSN_v2.23_CFW_340_4XX.pkg" to the root of your USB drive too.

5 - Now plug in the USB drive to the right most USB port in the PS3

6 - Install "[PS2U10000]_PS2_Classics_Placeholder_R3.pkg"

7 - Install "reActPSN_v2.23_CFW_340_4XX.pkg" if you don't have it installed

8 - Create a new User with the name "aa" and login to the "aa" user account

9 - Run reActPSN (just press X), the PS3 should do a soft reboot of sort and if everything went good, the "aa" user should be renamed to something like "reActPSN v2.0 7rif0edat". It wouldn't be exacty like that but something along those lines.

Also from now on, you would never have to use reActPSN for your PS2 Classics ever again.

Now we are ready to make the PS2 Classic PKG.

10 - Install the "install_ps3tools_2.2.4.exe" file. It's in the folder "2-TOOLS [PC]/ps3tools224/"

11 - Next there should be a folder called "PS2_Template" in file I have attached. Open "PS2_Template" folder and you will see another folder "PS2U10000". Rename this folder to what ever you want. Example: "PS2GAME01"

12 - Open the "PS2GAME01" folder and you will see some files. Open "PARAM.SFO" using "PARAM SFO Editor" from Aldostools.

13 - Enter the name of the folder you renamed at step 11 in the 'Title ID' field. In my case it's "PS2GAME01"

14 - Enter the name of the game in the 'TITLE' field. Example: "Final Fantasy XII"

15 - Click save and replace the PARAM.SFO file.

16 - You could also customize the ICON0.PNG and PIC1.PNG files for your game.

17 - Now go back and open the 'PS2Classics_GUI.exe'

18 - From the 'Encrypt' tab choose the 'folder icon' below the 'Options' button. And load the ISO file you want to encrypt.

19 - Now click 'Add LIMG Sector', click 'Yes' and click the 'Encrypt' button below. Again a message will appear, click 'Yes' on that message too.

20 - When it finishes encrypting the ISO to "ISO.BIN.ENC". Cut that file and move it to "PS2_Template/PS2GAME01/USRDIR/" path. so it would look like "PS2_Template/PS2GAME01/USRDIR/ISO.BIN.ENC"

21 - Go back to the "PS2_Template" folder and right-click on the "PS2GAME01" folder and click 'Make PKG...'

22 - Now copy the newly created PKG file to the root of your USB drive. Don't worry about it's name. You could just rename the PKG if you want.

23 - Insert the USB drive into one of those USB ports on the PS3 and install the PKG. Now it will show up in the Games column in the PS3 XMB.

24 - Run the PS2 Classic and it should play.

So each time you want to make a new PS2 Classic just follow the Steps from 11. It's easy and quick!

Happy PS2 Gaming! :D

Configuring IRIS and PS ITA Managers for maximum discless backup compatibility

This tutorial will walk you through the process of setting up your CFW/MFW capable PS3 to run games without inserting a disc into your system. It will also help you to make some (if not all) games work, which require BD-Mirror (which is a known functionality introduced in multiman and early backup managers).

Requirments

In order to run the latest games you are going to need a Custom Firmware / Modified Firmware with a version number of 4.46 installed on your system. There are many walkthroughs and guides with step-by-step explanations on this website. As far as I know, there are firmwares which can bypass error messages which appear in cases when the BD-Drive is dead.

This is where all the necessary files are located to patch explorer_plugin.sprx and libfs.sprx of a FW 4.46 system
http://www.mediafire.com/?r1306bp5166xjl3

This guide works on both CEX and DEX (even on genuine DEX) machines. I used Rebug's 4.46 D-REX, but normal REX or Rogero CFW/MFWs should work as well.

Instructions

1.) Use a PS3 file manager (Awsome File Manager, multiman, etc.) or PS3 FTP server to copy explore_plugin.sprx system file, located in /dev_flash/vsh/module/ directory (this is located in your PlaySation 3 system) to your USB drive or PC.

2.) Locate and copy libfs.sprx system file residing in /dev_flash/sys/external/ directory (this is located in your PlaySation 3 system) the same way you did in Step 1.

3.) Download and extract the patchers on your PC. They are located under the following link:
http://www.mediafire.com/?r1306bp5166xjl3

4.) Place explore_plugin.sprx, libfs.sprx in the same directory where you extracted the contents of Iris_BDEMU_DISCLESS_MODE.rar /.zip on your PC.

5.) Run patch_explorer_plugin.bat to create explorer_plugin_patched.sprx in the same directory on your PC.

6.) Run patch_libfs.bat to create libfs_patched.sprx in the same directory on your PC.

7.) Rename the newly created exporer_plugin_patched.sprx to explorer_plugin_446.sprx on your PC. (Note that: if you are on a firmware with a different version number than 4.46, make sure that the number corresponds to that firmware's version number you are using.)

8.) Copy explorer_plugin_446.sprx and libfs_patched.sprx into your Playstation 3 system's /dev_hdd0/game/PS3ITAMNG (if you are using PS ITA Manager) or /dev_hdd0/game/IMANAGER directory (if you are using IRIS Manager).

9.) Start PS ITA or IRIS Manager from the XMB on your Playstation 3 system.

10.) Check the General Options menu by pressing the [START] button on your controller while PS ITA or IRIS Manager is running. On the bottom of your screen you should see a message saying:
"payload-sk1e resident - new syscall8 v8 (libfs_patched found!)" (Note, that the name of the payload could vary on different firmwares!)

11.) Activate "Disc- Less" mode by selecting Tools -> With BDVD Controller (this is normally the default playload used by PS ITA Manager).

12.) When prompted with a message asking: "Want to use Disc - Less payload?" answer "Yes". and PS ITA / IRIS will exit.

13.) In order to test if "Disc - Less" mode is running properly pick a game that requires a disc. (NOTE: That if you are using an external storage drive to proved the game image, you need to rename your GAMES folder to GAMEZ in order to allow PS ITA / IRIS to recognize your installed games).

I used GRID 2 in my case, with the following settings:

a.) Press [SELECT] while the game is selected to enter the Game Options sub menu.
b.) Pick Config. Game from the Game Options Sub menu
c.) In this menu you can setup the launch conditions of your game.
Enable Requires Disc, by pressing the DPAD into the direction where YES is located.
d.) Set "BD EMU" to mount "BDVD" in a similar way you did in the previous step.
e.) Select "Save Config.", and the game launch settings will be saved in a .cfg file.

Now select "Return" and press X to start the game. You'll be thrown back into XMB.

When you go back into PS ITA manager you'll be prompted with a message saying that in order to activate fake disc mode you need to have USB mass storage device attached to your Playstation 3 system. After arriving in the menu and pressing the PS button, you should see a big animation in the background saying that a fake disc was inserted.

If you start the game again and enter XMB, you will find two additional icons one with the name of the game you are launching and one using the name "Game". Start the one which uses the title of the game (normally located under the Package Manager).

The game should work now!

A few more enclosing notes

Note 1: Normally, you will need Mount BD for games located on your external hard drive and use libfs mode (BD-Emu) if the game is located on your internal hard drive.

Note 2: Make sure you don't use the payloads of IRIS Manager / Multiman at the same time. It could crash your system. Just avoid using both backup managers.

List of Games I tested

Most of these games are notorious for requiring a Bluray Game Disc in the drive.

Borderlands Game of The Year Edition
Grid 2
Heavy Rain Move Edition
Sniper V2

I would like to conclude this tutorial by saying thanks to the following people: sandungas, eussNL, zecoxao, Ada and the developers of ITA and IRIS Managers. Thank you for your patience and help!

It's So easy to do it's just crazy!!!!!

First install a cobra compatible CFW.
Second Install PSP launcher
third install PSP game to internal OR external HDD in the PSPISO folder
fourth copy the attached Param.sfo (extract it from the rar) to dev:hdd0/game/PSPC66820/
finally boot any PSP game through the launcher and quit.

The next time you load a game through the PSP launcher it will load as a PSP remaster.

Here is an updater set of instructions from PSX-scene member Mad Mike 96

"USE cobra launcher in PSP mini or PSP remaster mode.

3 Install attachched Param File to dev:hdd0/game/PSPC66820/
4. change the folder name from PSPC66820 to PSPC66821
5 Rebuild Data base through recovery menu
6. Instsall PSP launcher again
7 mount a PSP game with MMCM
8. Load your game through either the minis launcher or the PSP remaster launcher depending which mode your game calls for. (Note that the PSP remaster launcher will not show the game icon but its mounted. just load it.)"

Enjoy this folks. now you can choose what mode your PSP game loads in.

Most games works with this steps:
1. Extract PKG.
2. Fix EBOOT by "ODDE Eboot Resigner v1.02"
3. Conver to ISO by "IsoTools v1.34.7"

Actually it works. But not always.

In case of "Flower" (PSN game) I have a freeze: after run I hear "beep" sound and screen is black. Only reset helps.
I tried resign EBOOT myself with "scetool" and comands:

Code:

scetool -d EBOOT.BIN EBOOT.ELF

scetool --verbose --skip-sections=FALSE --sce-type=SELF --compress-data=TRUE --key-revision=0A --self-app-version=0001000000000000 --self-auth-id=1010000001000003 --self-vendor-id=01000002 --self-ctrl-flags=0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 --self-cap-flags=00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000003B0000000100040000 --self-type=APP --self-fw-version=0003005500000000 --encrypt EBOOT.ELF EBOOT.BIN

But situation is similar.

Do you have any ideas what can do with this?

Does mM support large capacity hard drives (> 2TB) formatted as NTFS? When I make the switch to Cobra I'm probably going to put my ISOs on a 3TB drive and I'm wondering if mM will be able to load ISOs from it (or better yet if the XMB supports it now).

hey this is my first thread in this site so forgive me if you do anything wrong and forgive me for my bad english iam egyptian
so have you ever faced this annoying problem when updating your games that says error please put the original game disc well here is the solution:
1-first if you need to download a game download it from here Removed Link
2-download the 3k3y isotools from this site for free http://adf.ly/dqIY5
3-open the isotools program and select tools tab then select identify jb rip
4-select the game files you downloaded(it must be files not iso if it is iso extract it and it must be without any updates (v 1.00))
5-it will load a bit then it will give a link to download a file called ird for the game download it
6-then select create iso icon
7-select the game files (again mustnt be iso)
8-select where you want to create the iso file
9-select the ird you downloaded in step 5
10-wait until the iso file is created and your game is ready to play and update without problems

important notes:
-not all games will have ird files some unknown games doesnt have an ird file in the 3k3y database check their database before downloading a game here http://adf.ly/e4Lxc

-this is only to avoid the problem saying you must insert original game disc but games that requires online pass will need to download a cracked online pass and install it to the game here is the tutorial made by freddy75 http://adf.ly/e4MPa

[TUTORIAL] How to convert and play ISOs on a NTFS hard drive on Cobra firmwares

Hey guys!

I didn't really find any guides on how to make my games work on a NTFS hard drive, so I decided to make one.

Requirements:
A Cobra hybrid frimware
Your favorite backup manager, I used IrisMod
A Windows computer
These tools

Step 1:

Download the tools.

Step 2:

Extract the archive.

Step 3:
Navigate to your extracted files.

Step 4:
Choose your preferred tool, in this tutorial we're going to use PSISOTOOL by CaptainCPS-X

Step 5:
Navigate to the bin folder.

Step 6:
Right click on the "example_batch_create_ps3_iso.bat" file and click edit.

Step 7:
You can add several games to your list if you want.

Code:

@echo off

set SOURCE_DIR="yourgamelocation ex. D:\BLUS30160 "
set DESTINATION_DIR="yourexternalhddsdriveletter:\PS3ISO ex. G:\PS3ISO"

call psiso_tool --mkps3iso %SOURCE_DIR% %DESTINATION_DIR%

pause

To add several games, do like this.

Code:

@echo off

set SOURCE_DIR="D:\BLUS30160"
set DESTINATION_DIR="G:\PS3ISO"

call psiso_tool --mkps3iso %SOURCE_DIR% %DESTINATION_DIR%

set SOURCE_DIR="D:\PS3 Games\BLES00246"
set DESTINATION_DIR="G:\PS3ISO"

call psiso_tool --mkps3iso %SOURCE_DIR% %DESTINATION_DIR%
pause

You see that we don't duplicate the "pause", but we duplicate the rest.
The only thing you have to do is to replace the source directory and output directory, with the ones you want.

Step 8:

Make sure your ISOs were converted successfully by entering your output directory.

The file size must make sense, sometimes this method doesn't work which causes games to be output a 0 KB files.
Make sure the file has an ISO extension.

Step 9:

Make sure your backup loader is updated.

Step 10:
Insert your external hard drive into your PS3 and launch your favorite backup launcher.

I am using IrisMan (mod by aldos).

Step 11:

Wait a few seconds and make sure your games pop up.

Final Step:
Launch your game! If everything went OK, it should work properly.

Thanks to:
@aldostools and Estwald for IrisMan
@CaptainCPS-X for PSISOTOOLS
Cobra dev team for GenPS3ISO.

Like if I helped! :D

I have a USB with 12 gig of space but I downloaded Gran Turismo 6 which is at around 14GB.
How do I install a 14GB game without FTP?
I've splitted the files but don't know what to do next :/
